About the League

Building statewide infrastructure for high school pickleball.

NJHSPL is being developed to give schools a credible, organized way to participate in interscholastic pickleball competition.

History

A new Association for a fast-growing school sport.

Pickleball is growing quickly across New Jersey communities, but high school athletes need more than informal play. The League is designed to create a school-centered framework that athletic departments can understand, evaluate, and join.

The first phase focuses on establishing founding schools, creating a clear pilot format, and documenting expectations for match days, eligibility, equipment, and student leadership.

The long-term vision is a statewide interscholastic Association that supports regular competition, championship events, and a path toward formal recognition.
